If you own a Samsung or an LG television set, then you might also enjoy ChanSort, a dedicated application that can help you organize their channel lists.

The devices supported by ChanSort are Samsung TVs series B, C, D, E and F, all the LG models released since 2009 until 2013, but also Toshiba TVs that use a ZIP or CHMGT.DB channel list and the Panasonic models released since 2011 until 2013 which use SVL.DB or SVL.BIN lists.

The interface might throw you off a bit, especially if you are not used to managing channel lists on a regular basis, since it displays numerous types of details about each channel. However, you will get used to all the information when you start experimenting with the functions of ChanSort.

The application features Unicode support for channel names, which means they will be correctly interpreted even if your native language does not rely on Latin alphabet, but on the Cyrillic or the Greek ones.

Editor

Due to ChanSort you will be able to effortlessly change the order of the channels so you can find them with ease when using your TV. You can drag and drop them when you want to reorder them or manually enter new numbers for each of them.

In addition, you can also rename or remove the channels you no longer want (individually or in batch), as well as add your preferred ones to a favorites list. If you want to make sure your children do not accidentally stumble across the inappropriate channels, you can also activate parental locking.

All in all, ChanSort can help you save a lot of time when it comes to changing the order or the names of your channels, especially since you do not need to set up any complicated settings (you just need to make sure .NET Framework 4.0 is installed on your PC).

IPTV Editor is a program that lets you import M3U or CSV playlist files for IPTV channels. It lets you sort by channel, groups, and so on. You can manage the below information with this editor.

Editor
  1. Channel Name
  2. Channel Number (or leave blank)
  3. TV Guide Name (for EPG work)
  4. Group Name that the channel belongs to
  5. IP/Host URL
  6. Icon URL

Aside from editing this basic information, it allows to do imports to add lists together (instead of just editing one list at a time). You can verify the links in your list to make sure they are not dead (does not test stream availability). You can then remove all the dead link channels in a single click of a button. You can also export this in two different M3U formats. Each is compatible with different players. One has just the channel number and name on one line, and the URL on the next. The other type (listed as Kodi in Export), exports all the information you can manage per channel and can be used with an EPG setup if you build an EPG and have the correct names in the M3U file. You can even do a copy all of channel names to EPG names if they were empty or listed as EPG N/A in a single click.
